Palanga and Šventoji will celebrate the National Day in a special way

In Palanga

July 6 – a special day for Lithuania – the closing day of the XII World Lithuanian Sports Games will be filled with an even stronger spirit of togetherness. At 7:30 p.m., the live broadcast on TV3 will begin. During the broadcast, a live telebridge will be established between the stage set up in Jūratė and Kastyčios Squares and the procession of participants heading towards the Palanga Bridge.

Monika Liu, Giedrė Kilčiauskienė and Rokas Yan will give exceptional musical performances on stage, and at 9 p.m., Lithuanians from all over the world will be united by the National Anthem sung from the Palanga Bridge. Together, we will spread the message about a strong, united global Lithuanian community.

We will also sing the national anthem together with the Palanga Cultural Center Chamber Choir and the Sea Riflemen Choir and the ensemble “Guboja” in the Palanga Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

After singing the National Anthem, at 9:10 p.m., an aerobatic aircraft performance will take place over the sea bridge, and at 9:30 p.m. at Jūratė and Kastyčios Squares – a concert by the group “Biplan”.

In Šventoji

Šventoji invites you to celebrate the State Day in retro style – meaningfully, sing-songly, Lithuanian-style.
This year, the “La mer” festival is dedicated to the memory of the legendary Lithuanian pop singer Stasys Povilaitis.
The festival program includes performances by dance groups and vocal ensembles, at 8 p.m. the group “Cappella‘A” will take the stage. And at 9 p.m. we will sing the National Anthem together with the whole world, after which we will dance to the rhythms of Lithuanian hits with DJ Vladas.

We will celebrate July 6th in Palanga and Šventoji not only solemnly, but also joyfully - by uniting music, traditions, and Lithuanians from all over the world. We invite everyone to join the celebration and together create a strong, united Lithuania!
