Surrounded by the beautiful landscapes and nature reserves, Svencele is a village on the coast of the Curonian Lagoon and one of the new recreational areas in the region. Already named as a "Lithuanian Venice" it has become a tourist centre. From Svencele you can see the Curonian Lagoon and the coastal sand dunes. In the area you can find different elements of the landscape - sea, sand dunes, reeds, open meadows and forests and small local towns and villages.

Svencele is also a designed spot for lovers of extreme sports - kite and windsurfing. Strong winds, water, dunes on the other side of the Lagoon, a modern village that blends into the landscape and greets each visitor kindly.

A restaurant and a bar is open in Svencele during the summer season.

Nearby (3 kilometers) is the small ship harbor Dreverna, with a 15 meter observation tower, outdoor pool, tennis, beach volleyball and basketball courts. The harbor offers boats, pedal boats, kayaks, canoe rental, as well as a restaurant, a beach bar and a tourism information office.
During the summer season, a passenger ferry goes to the village Juodkrante, situated on the Curonian spit, on the coast of the Baltic sea.
