This is an overnight stay at a campsite established in Svencele on the shore of the Curonian Lagoon with a unique view. If such a vacation sounds tempting, try staying at the Fenas Kite Spot campsite on the coast of the Curonian Lagoon. It has as many as 30 sites for campers and tents, more than 1 ha of coastline to unpack for a change, a beach to pamper yourself with sunbathing, a campfire to warm up, and you can diversify your vacation with various other entertainments. There are kitesurfing schools and shops in the area that rent kitesurfing equipment, and you can also try windsurfing, paddle boarding, electric surfboards and other water sports. The campsite has a food truck terrace, and the Svencelė container complex is located next door, where you will find the Cape bar. For those who like to camp in campsites by the lake, this is a great alternative with a beautiful view of the lifeless dunes of the Curonian Spit and water activities; a unique water sports oasis where everyone can learn to control the wind and relax. For those who want to learn to tame the superpowers of the wind, you can get help from professionals at the nearby kitesurfing schools. Because Svencelė is one of the safest places to try kitesurfing lessons: the water of the Curonian Lagoon is shallow, only reaches the navel, is not salty and does not irritate the eyes. There are no stones or sharp shells underfoot here. Evenings here, when the sun sets, coloring both the sky and the lagoon red, and many colorful kites are visible on the horizon, are unique.
Fenas Kite Spot is one of several unique campsites near the sea, which is located on the shore of the Curonian Lagoon with a view of the Grey or Dead Dunes in the Curonian Spit National Park on the other shore. The campsite is designed for young hearts and on a "self-service" basis, you reserve services and arrive to settle in the designated place. Camping sites are only ~20 meters from the lagoon, each ~35 sq. m. area with night lighting. At this campsite, each site has an electrical switch and drinking water for a group of 10 campers - an island. You can stay in the front row and enjoy the sunsets or choose a place in the other rows. The campsite has an automated entry/exit during the stay. From 2022 New camping showers and toilets are open for the season. For those looking for entertainment around Svencelė, we suggest visiting the Dreverna port and taking the Dreverna – Juodkrantė – Dreverna ferry to the Curonian Spit, where you can walk to the Baltic Sea beach in 20 minutes. We also recommend climbing the Dreverna observation tower and looking at the Dreverna surroundings and the lagoon from a height of 15 meters.
