Hotel "Juodasis kalnas" in Juodkrantė - relaxation between the lagoon and the sea!

Located in the very center of Juodkrantė, the hotel invites you for a romantic getaway or family vacation in Neringa.

For your convenience, we offer:

Distance to the sea -1200 m, to the lagoon - 50 m.

The hotel has 16 rooms, a restaurant, and during the summer season - an outdoor terrace. The restaurant aims to reflect the culinary traditions of the Curonian Spit, cooking according to recipes known to locals for a long time. The restaurant's menu is constantly changing, depending on the catch of the day by local fishermen and seasonal delicacies. The restaurant is headed by chef Donatas Kučikas. Having studied at the Milan "Chef Accademia", he continued his career in Milan, Ibiza, Qatar, Switzerland, and currently delights guests and locals of Juodkrantė with his dishes.

Orders are accepted for invited lunches, banquets, weddings, christenings and other celebrations.

There are three free parking lots next to the building for hotel and restaurant guests. There are places for charging electric cars.

The hotel rooms have all the amenities for residents: wireless internet in the rooms, TV, toilet, shower, toiletries, hairdryer, refrigerator, electric kettle.

2 rooms have private, two outdoor terraces.

For the convenience of hotel guests, upon request, we rent bicycles, yachts, transport, tickets.

From 9.00 to 11.00 a.m. A buffet breakfast is served to residents in the hotel restaurant.

Rooms are cleaned from 11.00 to 13.00.

Hotel guests are accepted from 16.00, check-out is at 12.00.

About Juodkrantė

Juodkrantė (formerly Schwarzort), one of the oldest, second largest settlements of the Curonian Spit, is located in the valley of old - parabolic dunes by the Curonian Lagoon, 18 km south of Klaipėda. A historical-urban reserve stretching 2 km along the lagoon.

There is a yacht marina on the waterfront, a Stone Sculpture Park.
Juodkrantė is proud of the Witches' Hill. This is a 42 m high dune, famous for its park of wooden folk art sculptures, created by more than a hundred folk masters. Most of the sculptures are characters from folk tales and legends.

Juodkrantė is one of the most versatile sailing destinations in Lithuania. Kitesurfing and windsurfing are practiced both on the lagoon and on the sea side near the small lifeguard station.

A colony of grey herons and cormorants has been observed near Juodkrantė since the beginning of the 19th century.

Not far from Juodkrantė, in the Nagliai Nature Reserve, there are protected grey dunes (more often called dead dunes). Since they look dark from the other side of the lagoon, the village got its name from them.

As a resort, Juodkrantė became famous around 1840, when steamships from Klaipėda (formerly Memel), and later Tilsit, began to sail to it.

In the 20th century, hotels, villas, summer houses, restaurants, and shops were established in Juodkrantė. Juodkrantė became an urban-type settlement - a summer resort.
